Leave the UB city and drive to Baga gazariin Chuluu. It is located in the center of Dundgobi province. The area is 300 square km wide, 15 km long, 10 km wide granite Stone Mountain elevated at 1768m above sea level. Surrounded by plain areas with cliffs and higher rocks. It is one of the ancient historical lands, rock images, burial mounds other sightseeing and became one of the specially protected areas of Mongolia in 1999.
Leisure time for rock climbing and hiking activities if time is available.
After breakfast, we will head to South Gobi. It is interesting to see the sheer slope, facing east which from a distance seems to be the ruins of the ancient city. Over thousands of years, the wind and water have created this amazing structure and it was seabed with sedimentary places created by millions of years and different colors of the ground represent different times. The formation is over 60m at its highest point and continues 400m.
We will walk for a while and optional for hiking activity.
After breakfast, we will drive to Dalanzadgad which is a central province of the South Gobi area. The Gobi Three Beautiful Mountain ranges are definitely one of the most interesting places to visit in Southern Gobi and Yoliin Am is a pearl. The valley is located within Gobi Gurvansaikhan National Park. Come and see yourself! You need to wear your hiking shoes and full of ice down the creek in July, the last ice melted the end of June. You can hike track all the way down the gorge about 5-8km. Then you can understand, what an interesting contrast of landscapes! Amazing experience to see this river of ice in the desert and a great place for views and a walk.
After breakfast, we will head to Khongor sand dunes which are located in the more deep area in Gobi Guvrvansaikhan National Park. Also, it is called Duut Mankhan is well known as the (Singing Sands)The sand dunes extend to over 965 square km area,180 km long and can reach 20km wide. It is one of the largest sandy areas of Mongolia. The wind continuously blows from North towards West and the dunes can reach breathtaking heights, between 100 and 300 meters. The inhabitant’s name after their imposing dunes Singing Dunes due to the noise made by the wind when it moves the sand. Kongor River flows along the dunes on a few kilometers and forms an oasis in the middle of the dried landscape. Experience camel riding and cultural experience! After breakfast, we will drive to Bayan Zag. There are so many interesting things about the Gobi Desert in Mongolia. Bayan Zag or the Flaming Cliff is one of them. It was given this name by American paleontologist Roy Chapman Andrew, who visited in 1922. The area is most famous for yielding the first discovery of dinosaur eggs. The nickname refers to the red or orange color of the sandstone cliffs, especially at a sunset. The erosion created on the ragged rocks from reddish sediment is an enriching sight that can be enjoyed in the morning or evening sun, given that the weather is pleasant. It is important fossil finds have been made. We will walk for a while and optional for hiking activity.
After breakfast, we will drive to the Ruins of Ongi Monastery is located on the banks of the Ongiin River and it is halfway point between two major travel destinations the South Gobi and Kharakhorum city. It was destroyed by the communist purges of the 1930s and is being restored by the residing monks. Built-in the 17th century, the Ongi Monastery was among the largest temples in the country and was a home for over 1000 monks. Not much left of the monastery and there are only two monks that reside at the temple. Today there is a small temple rebuilt on the site, a stupa to remember those who were killed, and a ger containing a small museum of objects that were rescued. The place is impressive and the site- basalt rocks and a desert river are beautiful.
After breakfast we will drive to Orkhon Waterfall, also called Ulaan Tsutgalan is one of the best sights in central Mongolia. About 25m downstream from the waterfall you can climb down to the bottom of the gorge, 22m deep and dotted with pine trees. Approximately 20.000 years ago, the waterfall was formed due to earthquakes and merged from volcanic eruptions. However, the water doesn’t run all year and will only start to flow after the first good summer rain. Best time to see it in late July and August. The road to the waterfall is not easily accessible, owing to the rocky surface of the area along the Orkhon River itself is the longest river in Mongolia with a length of 1124km and it has been protected since 2006 as a National Park. Scenic and untouched natural distinct spots allow good opportunities for hiking and horseback riding. The valley is known as the home of Nomadic culture. Yak herder nomads are common.
After breakfast we will drive to Tsenher hot spa which is located in Arkhangai province. Most of the drive is off-road, but the scenery is amazing with rolling steppe and mountains in the background. On arrival enjoy lunch or picnic and hike in the surrounding hills and forests to discover open air pools and steams of hot springs. You will know you are near natural sources geothermal water by distinctive the sulfuric smell. The water is not mixed with soil waters because it is hot. Also the spring is kept in high pressure under the ground flow rate is high, 10 liters per seconds. Tsenher hot springs have healing properties notably on articular diseases and nervous system’s diseases. There are several tourist camps which are offering for tourists indoor and outdoor baths. They transfer the hot water via tubes from and built some pools. Night bath is great. Sitting in the pool drinking while seeing stars at the dark sky is one of the favorite activity in here.
After breakfast, we will drive to Kharkhorin town which is located in Uvurkhangai province, Mongolia. You will see ancient old Buddhist temple museum and modern Kharkhorin history museum as well. Back in the 13th century, Kharkhorin was constructed as a proper capital city that attracted traders, dignitaries, and skilled workers from across Asia and even Europe. Erdene Zuu temple was built 16th-century using materials from the destroyed city but was later badly damaged during the Stalinist purges of 1937, when the monks were either killed or deported to Siberia. The Khakhorin city was the capital of the Great Mongol Empire during the Chinggis Khaan’s period.

How is the food in Mongolia?
The main food for Mongolian meat, which is suited to Mongolian’s way of life and climate. During summertime, Mongolians prefer to have more milk products from the livestock. However, there are hundreds of foreign restaurants inside and outside the city and all tourist camps serve with Asian, European and other food.
How is the electricity and sockets of Mongolia?
The power supply in Ulaanbaatar is now very reliable and there are only the occasional blackouts. Electricity is 220V, 50 Hz. The sockets throughout the country accommodate the European – style 2 pin plugs. In the countryside, the power supply still has frequent interruptions. In many cases, this is due to the cost of fuel. Wiring in many places needs updating and so care should be undertaken.
Will it be possible to extend my stay at a destination?
Yes, but you have to inform us first before the tour starts. Also, additional charges will be applicable. No alterations can be done when the tour is in progress.
If I lose my passport, what assistance will I be provided?
We assist to report to the nearest police station and on request from your country Embassy. Also, you have to bear all the other costs by yourself.

Do we have to walk a lot on tours?
Generally, we have to walk at sightseeing places, sometimes for a long distance, however the same will be timely instructed by the tour guide.
Can I use my credit card for shopping / personal expenses while on a tour?
Yes, you can use internationally accepted Credit Cards for shopping and personal expenses at the city or town.
How can I stay in touch with my family and friends on a tour?
While on tour, you can be in touch with your family and friends through a local calling card or local sim card as you may deem fit and desirable. You have to carry your mobile handset. We are not responsible for any charges levied by the international local authorities neither shall be responsible for the loss of your mobile handset.
What assistance is provided, if I dis-continue the scheduled tour, on account of illness?
If you fall sick on tour, kindly inform the tour guide immediately. The tour guide will assist you in making all arrangements for the medical aid, doctor on call, etc. However, the expenses will have to be responsible for you. Here, Insurance plays a major role hence we highly recommend that you should get yourself and your family insured adequately before travel.
Can I get medicine on a tour?
Yes, you should get your own medicine if you have to take them daily. Don’t forget you have a first aid kit.

Yes, for all tours of ours you have a facility of joining the tour at the first destination and leaving the tour at the last destination. For such tours, you get an only joining tour price.

Yes, we will assist you with tickets for regular tours.
What type of meals are included on tour and can I request for a special meal?
All meals are served during most of our tours as specified in each package tour program. A full board of 3 meals a day. Please refer to the tour itinerary sent and confirmed by your “M Sand dunes” consultant for further details. We can cater vegetarians, special dietary requests without any problem, you will only have to notify us of your special dietary requests at least 30 days before the tour start.
Do you have a cook on tour?
We generally have meals at Mongolian tourist camp as it gives you an opportunity to enjoy a different ambiance and is comfortable. At times, we do give packed lunch too depending upon the itinerary.
What is the possibility of getting a VISA?
We just assist you in filing the application for the VISA. If there is no Mongolia embassy in your country, one-month visas can be obtained on the spot once you arrive at the airport or railway station.
Do I need Overseas Travel insurance?
It is advisable to acquire adequate Overseas Travel Insurance cover for protection from any possible risks such as damage, loss, accident or injury to life, etc. on tour
Does the tour guide assist us on the entire tour?
Yes, the tour guide will assist you throughout the tour. However, they are not responsible for baggage or any kind of personal belongings.
In which language will the Tour guide communicate with us on tour?
The Tour guide will preferably communicate or give instructions on tour in English.
How many days before the tour should I do the booking?
We recommend you book your tour at least 1 month before the scheduled departure date as most of our tours fill up 1 month in advance. If you book early you can avail of the booking discounts.
Do I need to pay the entire tour price lump-sum while booking?
If you pay the tour price at one go 30 days prior departure then you are benefited as you get a full payment discount. It is not mandatory though, you can pay the registration amount to book and pay the balance payment later.
How can I check my payment and billing details?
We send you a confirmation payment via email. Then, you can check your billing and full itinerary.
Do we get any confirmation email of our scheduled departure?
Yes, 2 to 3 days before your scheduled departure we give an email to inform the reporting time and place.

Do I need to carry multiple currencies as per different countries visited on the tour?
USD / EURO are universally accepted currencies and easily exchangeable in any part of the world. You can carry the local currency of the visiting country worth $50 for miscellaneous expenses and if in case of emergency.
After paying once, will I get a refund of the tour cost?
In case of cancellation of your tour by the Company, you will get a refund of the actual amount paid by you. But if you cancel the tour, the cancellation charges will be applicable as per the below-mentioned cancellation policy:

Due to the short nature of the Mongolian travel season (June, July, August & September) services for travelers tend to be overbooked. Therefore all local facilities and services are pre-booked well in advance and incur penalties in case of cancellation. Ideally, it takes 4 – 5 working days to process refunds, once the guest agrees on the refund amount.
